Although the new Cherokee has been criticized for its bold styling – the car has been a sales hit and is outselling the legendary Wrangler the past several months. The Cherokee has been embraced by drivers who frequent the urban sprawl but long to head off on the trail and embrace the outdoors. The team at Jeep decided to bring the outdoors into the city landscape and have transformed Vancouver into a off-roader’s winter dreamland. The setup for the commercial took a million pounds of rocks and sand, a forest of trees, 400,000 pounds of snow, 250,000 gallons of water to make a river, and even two wolves.

The commercial shows several drivers following GPS through the city and taking a guided detour that takes them into a whole different world. The Cherokee seems to be up to the task and pushes through the snow, sleet, water, and rocks to provide some truly incredible photos and video. Checkout a couple of the commercial spots below and head over to the Jeep website for all the behind the scenes footage and more pictures.
