The current batch of new, often expensive, electric vehicles (or EVs) may not work for every buyer. Most have limited range and simply won’t serve as more than an in-town commuter car. However, we have truly enjoyed our experience with vehicles like the Kia Soul EV and even the lowly Mitsubishi i-MiEV. For the right price, an EV could be the perfect commuter or a reliable additional vehicle that will won’t require much, if any, maintenance.
Here in California, new electric vehicles (or EVs) are often heavily incentivized with upwards of $9,000 in rebates to help decrease the higher cost. These rebates and the fear of most consumers to buy a car with less than 100 miles of range, has led to some great deals on used EVs.
